These five towns topped the chart as “safest cities in Georgia” due to their incredibly low crime rates.

Holly Springs uses what it calls the T.R.A.C.E. program to increase cooperation among various elements of the community to keep crime low. The results of their efforts are extremely impressive. The crime rate in Holly Springs is actually 66% lower than the nationwide norm.
Milton not only has a low crime rate, but the town recently won an award for having the highest quality of life in Georgia. Low crime and great living tend to go hand in hand so that's no surprise. There are only 22 violent crimes per 100,000 people, making Milton the third-safest town in Georgia.
Tyrone is a city founded by Irish immigrants that provides easy access to downtown ATL for its residents. The community of 7,000 also boasts a very low crime rate of .71 violent crimes per 1,000 people. Fun fact: The Irish who founded the city named it Tyrone because the land reminded them of “County Tyrone” in Ireland.
Flowery Branch is a city of beautiful, historical buildings that is located about 45 minutes northeast of the city of Atlanta. The town has been designated a “Certified City of Ethics.” This honorific is bestowed on communities that dedicate themselves to building trust between town residents and the local government, including the police department. That trust has paid off with a low crime rate of .16 violent crimes per 1,000 citizens.
Georgia is a beautiful state and a joy to live in, especially in these nearly crime free areas. The crime rate is a big indicator of the type of community and community service you can expect when moving into a certain area. John's Creek ran away with the title this year of most crime free city.
