Of counsel is, in the legal profession of the United States, the title of an attorney who has a relationship with a law firm or an organization, but is not an associate or managing partner.
Manal earned her BA with honors from Georgia State University and her Juris Doctor from the John Marshall Law School, where she excelled. She has nine years of experience in the legal profession. She was the President of the Criminal Law Society and actively involved in peer mentorship. Her areas of interest are constitutional and criminal law. Prior to becoming a lawyer, she worked in the legal profession in the areas of criminal defense, family law and personal injury—providing insightful legal support in her case management and in the courtroom during several felony jury trials. She is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (GACDL), Georgia Chapter of Defense of Drinking Drivers (DODD), and the National College for DUI Defense (NCDD). She is certified in field sobriety testing and the Intoxilyzer 5000 & 9000 breath-testing device. She is fluent in Arabic.
