Founding & Managing Partner
Don Tuner has been practicing law for over 40 years and, during that time, has built extensive relationships within the legal and law enforcement communities throughout Georgia. He has successfully defended thousands of clients and tried over 300 cases in Municipal, State, Superior and Federal Courts. He also has completed extensive post-graduate work in counseling and psychology while working as a Probation Officer in Fulton and DeKalb Counties. This multi-faceted experience has not only made him aggressive in fighting for the rights of his clients, but has also enabled him to have a better understanding of people—clients, judges, prosecutors—and their concerns.
Don is a Founding Member of the National College for DUI Defense (NCDD). The Founding NCDD Members represent the original 100 DUI defense attorneys from across the nation who were invited by the original 10 Founding Fathers to participate in and sponsor the creation of the College. He was one of only eight selected in Georgia. He is also a founding member of DUI Defense Lawyers Association. He also holds long-term memberships with the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (GACDL), the Georgia Chapter of Defense of Drinking Drivers (DODD), as well as the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), whose motto is Liberty's Last Champion. Don is also NHTSA-certified in field sobriety testing and Intoxilyzer 5000 & 9000 breath-testing devices.
Prior to his legal career, Don was an offensive lineman for the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons and New York Jets. We feel that he is able to bring the NFL themes of discipline, teamwork, exceptional performance, and the love of winning when working for his clients and managing his firm.
